- in 1935 started to produce bicycles as J. R. J. Cycles
- continued under the name Merlin
- became famous only in 1961 under Bob Jackson
- in 1969 started to export Bob Jackson bicycles to the USA
- end of the 1970s Bob Jackson was commissioned to make the famous curly Hetchins frames
- in 1986 Bob Jackson and Hetchins merged
- features from both marques were mixed
- Super Legend has the lugs of the Hetchins top model Magnum Opus
- perfect custom machine: being made entirely to measure
- has individually made chrome-plated seat tube and curly rear stays
- this is model number 23843
- one of only 120 Super Legends ever made
